How do I start a trip?
Open Plan, choose or dictate a destination, select a reference speed and start. Allow location access. Stops, refuelling and moving again are detected automatically.
What is the reference speed?
It is the speed you select for comparison. It is not a verified road limit. Always check the road sign and the rules for your vehicle.
How does truck mode work?
Truck mode compares changes of 1, 2, 3 and 5 km/h and shows seconds as well as minutes. Small differences are GPS estimates. Tempo is not a calibrated speedometer or tachograph.
Does it work with the phone locked?
Yes. On iPhone, a Live Activity can show the current summary on the Lock Screen and compatible Apple surfaces. On Android, an active trip uses a visible foreground notification. Keep background location enabled and do not force-stop the app.
Why is Tempo checking GPS?
Tunnels, buildings, trees and power-saving settings can reduce accuracy. Tempo waits for useful samples instead of presenting a small speed difference as certain.
Is Tempo navigation?
No. The system mapping provider can be used to calculate route distance. Tempo does not give turn-by-turn directions.
How do I restore Tempo Pro?
Open Settings, choose Tempo Pro, then restore or refresh purchases. Use the same Apple Account or Google Play account that made the purchase. Reinstalling the app does not require buying Pro again.
